Botanical Gardens

Saturday, the boys and I headed to The Missouri Botanical Gardens to check out the Children's Garden there. I had heard great things about it and being the weekend, St. Louis County residents get in for FREE so we were all over it!

Nesteled among the Climatron and the beautiful gardens, the Children's Garden is literally a giant playground with slides, climbers, a tree house and hands on activities that the kids can enjoy and have fun. It was a big hit and something we'll definately head back to again sometime soon.

The weather was fair with threatening skies but that didn't stop us in the least! We were able to enjoy ourselves for awhile and as we headed back to the Visitors Center, it started to sprinkle lightly. As we finished our lunch at the Sassafras Cafe we decided that we'd try to head back out to see the Coy at the Japanese Gardens, it started to rain again and we decided to head home and call it a day.

Climbing up to the tree house - VERY STEEP STEPS!

Lovin' the tree slide

Riding the "Green Screen Bike" - camera in front of the bike projected a picture on a screen in front of them and behind them as well. It was cool!

Your boys are having an ideal summer if you ask me! Good for you guys. All memories to cherish for the rest of your life. I saw a rope climber this weekend and had no clue what it was until I saw your post- thanks for solving the mystery for me. Blaming it on pregnancy brain!
